Sales Tax

We are required by law to charge 5.6% sales tax on orders within Wisconsin.

Returns

Customer satisfaction is important to us. You may return an item for refund or exchange within 30 days of the shipment date. The item should be unworn and in its original drawstring pouch and gift box.

To arrange for a return, please e-mail us at: strandsjewelry@aol.com and we will give you a shipping address. Or, you can use the address that appears at the bottom of the purchase receipt included with your order. You may want to insure your return as we cannot be responsible for lost or misdirected returns.

When your returned item arrives, we will check it and issue a credit to the credit card used for purchase. A credit will appear on your credit card billing statement. We will deduct $1.00 from your credit for each missing drawstring pouch and each missing gift box if these items were originally part of the packaging of your item.

Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

If you paid by check, we will issue you a refund check in the full amount of the purchase. (Selling price of item + sales tax, if applicable.)

Jewelry Adjustments

All items are sold "as shown, as described." Any alterations to length, clasp, or design will incur a fee depending on the complexity of the change. Please contact us at: strandsjewelry@aol.com if you'd like to make a change to an item.

Repairs

We take care in making Strands jewelry to last, but sometimes it doesn't. If you have a problem, contact us at: strandsjewelry@aol.com and we'll make arrangements to repair the item. If something breaks, please try to gather all stray pieces to send back.

Buyer pays shipping to Strands.

Strands will pay return shipping back to buyer.

We cannot be responsible for items shipped to Strands uninsured.

Eyeglass Chains - Temple Measurement

The opening in our standard necklace style loops is 5/16” (just under 3/8 of an inch) and will accommodate most glasses. However, some glasses have temples that are particularly wide, like the pair of sunglasses shown below. (The temple is circled in red.)

If your glasses have a thick temple, measure it at its widest point. The white arrow shows the approximate widest point on this particular pair of glasses.

If your glasses won’t fit through our standard loop, tell us how wide the temple is and we’ll make sure to substitute a larger loop to match your chain at no additional charge.

Paying by Check

If you'd like to pay for your order by check, you cannot use the shopping cart as it is only for credit card purchases. Please contact us at strandsjewelry@aol.com to make arrangements for paying by check.

Mailing List

Strands sends e-mail newsletters a couple of times a year which contain information about new items, changes to the Web site, and often, promotional offers only for newsletter subscribers. You can add your name to our mailing list by using the sign-up box at the bottom of the Home page.

If you sign up for the newsletter but do not receive one, it could be because your e-mail service provider has designated the newsletter as spam and has filtered it out. Check with us to see if the newsletter we sent to you has bounced.

Each time you get a newsletter, you'll have the option to remove your name from our mailing list.

We do not sell our customer list.

Gift Wrap

Gift wrapping is available for an extra $5.00 per item. We have several lovely choices available to make your gift stand out. You will see these choices upon checkout, but they are not shown in great detail. Below is what they really look like.

What Does "Sold" Mean?

If an item is marked as “sold,” it means that we cannot reproduce the exact piece as shown. With minor modifications we can often make a similar piece, but it won’t be exactly the same because we no longer have the materials to recreate the sold piece. (As an aside, sometimes our modified reproductions are better than the original!)
